How to get started making money online

If this is your first time trying to make a money online then you might find that it is actually a lot more difficult than you think. The glory days of just building a website, place a few ads on it and have your friends spam click them until you’re rich are over. It’s not easy anymore, but I can teach you how to get started making money online by diversifying.

Advertisers are smarter, competition has increased hundreds of times over, design is slicker and technology is better.

If you wanna make money now, you need to do one of two things. You either need to be extremely good at something, or diversify until the day you find one thing you are just a little more successful in, and then focus on becoming the best at that.

Of course if you’re good at keeping several balls in the air at once, then you also have the option to just keep working on several projects at once.

For example, some of the things I am diversifying into right now or have done before are:

  • 1 x Affiliate store
  • 2 x Blog only websites (Including this one)
  • Youtube (Personal project)
  • Streaming (Personal project)
  • Tumblr blogs with ads (Great for mindless worker drones, does not require creativity)
  • Beermoney methods (I don’t do it anymore, not profitable enough in my opinion. Kind of a worker drone thing aswell)

But these are just my current ways of making money, and i’ll be looking into replacing some of them in the near future as i got some new projects planned. Some things you could try are:

I can’t promise that anything you take from this article is guaranteed to work, so just look at it as advice from someone who’s been in the game for a while.

Make a schedule

Once you have decided on your methods, it’s time to start working. Of course, the general idea is that the more hours you spend the better your chances are at making money, but before we get into the hard grind we need to make sure that you can be consistent.

Grinding 4 hours after work one night is useless if you don’t do anything for the whole week after that. When you first start out i recommend looking at it like a fun little side project where you either work one hour every day or 2 hours every other day. This will teach you how to be consistent which in the long term equals more raw productivity than just exhausting yourself every now and then. You don’t want a bunch of ups and downs. In time you can increase the hours little by little and maybe even go full-time if you’re good enough.

If you want to spend some extra time to write up a draft during for example your lunch break of commute to work then that is fine too. Whatever works best for you.

Set a goal

This one is kind of hard because It really depends on you. I can’t really tell you what your goal should be but I can give you a few suggestions and at least tell you why.

Your goals shouldn’t be to extravagant at first. It could be something like:

  • 50 subcribers to your email list
  • $1 passive income per day
  • Earning your first $10 online
  • 10 daily hits on your website
  • 5 affiliate sales

Just make sure to not play around with the big numbers too early. If you make your goal “I am going to make $5000 in my first month” then you will quickly be discouraged after realising that it’s not that easy. Set up smaller goals, that way your brain will reward itself for every small milestone you hit along the way. I hope you enjoyed this short post about how to get started making money online.
